Starting, Catching Up or Finishing Part I

kitten

While I sit patiently impatiently waiting for Shadowfever to show up at my door, I thought I’d fill you guys in on some of the series I plan to start, catch up on or finish this year.  Since this post is going to be a bit pic heavy (and because Blogger likes to act like a douche every now and again) I figured I’d split it up into two parts.  Plus, it’ll also give me more time to figure out which series to pick for the second half of the year.  I foresee a lot of coin flipping and internal arguments with myself.  Anywho, here’s the line up:

January

shadowfever

I know, shocking right?  I’m hoping I won’t have to beat up a FedEx delivery guy in the process.

February

bonecrossed[7] silverborne[6] hunting_ground[5]
unholyghosts unholymagic cityofghosts

I’ve been out of touch with Mercy and Anna for much to long.  I also want to find out what all this Terrible hype is all about.

March

gale force cape storm total eclipse

I realize I’ve been dragging my feet on this series (and a few others) because it has come to an end.  For some reason it makes me want to move at a snail’s pace.  I guess it’s so that I can enjoy them just a little bit longer.

April

deaduntildark livingdeadindallas clubdead deadtotheworlddeadasadoornail definitelydead alltogetherdead fromdeadtoworsedeadandgone deadinthefamily deadreckoning

I’m planning on doing a re-read of this series along with Deanna to prep for the release of Dead Reckoning.  I think ya’ll should join us.  =)

May

mindgames DoubleCross
deadly desire bound to shadows moon sworn

Yes, I know I’m the last person on the planet who hasn’t read The Disillusionists series.  I have no excuse.  Like I have no excuse for not finishing the Riley Jenson Guardian series.  This should be an interesting little mash up.

June

Since it’s my birthday month I figured I’d give myself the gift of that infamous Chapter 32.  *grin*

*Disclaimer:  Reading order is subject to change but, I’m guessing you guys already knew that.  ;)

  3. OK. Just checking.

Don't beat yourself up for not reading absolutely everything that looks good. It's impossible :)

  4. I see that you like to read about women who kick butt and take names. Charlaine Harris' series jumps out at me, so I'll definitely take a look at that. Have a great weekend.

  5. I need to pick up that series by Karen Moning. I've seen it getting awesome reviews all over the place. It will officially go on my TBR soon :)

I just finished "City of Ghosts" last night and I gotta tell ya, the series is really growing on me. It was unlike anything else I've ever read so it took me a bit to warm up to it, but it has a way of sucking you in. And yes, you will start to crush on Terrible too! He is unorthodox as far has "heroes" go, but totally lovable!

And I'm so flipping excited for you to read Night Huntress! June is too far away! Omg, I love Terrible but I loveeeeee BONES!!! Best. Vampire. Ever!

Happy reading my friend! Looks like 2011 will be off to a great start for you :)

  6. @Jen - I try not to. But they sit there and stare at me with beady little eyes.

@Zee - Guilty as charged. The Sookie Stackhouse series is really good. I highly recommend it. Thanks! Hope you have a great one too!

  7. Hi Isalys!! How was your trip? Are you back in the M.I.A.?

*Gasp* That kind of surprises me that you've never picked up the Fever series. You are going to really enjoy it. I heard Terrible was a bit of an unconventional hero.

LOL! You're enthusiasm might encourage me to move it up a few months. I hear great things about this Bones guy. ;)

    Thanks my friend!

  8. OMG Cat & Bones! OMG Disillusionists! OMG Downside Ghosts! OMG Charlaine Harris! Just kidding about that last one. I've never read them (as you well know). You are going to have an awesome first half of 2011 reading experience. You are either reading some of my favorites or a few series that I want to check out. You go Jen!

  12. LOL @ Smash Attack...

Yes and it feels good to be home. Don't get me wrong, I love to travel but 4 states via 6 airplanes and 16 hour days in from a Mon to Thurs is A LOT!! I enjoyed every minute of just being home over the weekend!

Oh yes, I am all about Bones ♥ He is no doubt my numero uno vampire luvah - LOL! Eric from Sookie is awesome so he comes in second place and sadly, Edward isn't making the cut cuz he's just not man enough! hahahaha

I'm totally late to the Fever party. I'll make it a point to get book # 1 next time I go to B&N. I need to get with it :)

  13. Damn that's a ridiculous amount of travel! Glad to have you back safe and sound.

LOL! Hear that everyone?! Bones and Eric belong to Isalys. Lay off or she will cut you. ;-) As far as Edward...AMEN sister...AMEN!

Yes, you need to board the Fever train STAT. I've got the series if you're interested in trying before buying. Grab my number from Kenia and holla 'atcha girl. Oh geez...that just happened, huh? LOL!

  14. Holy crap you've got some good book lovin in your future. I'm gonna give The Nighthuntress another go myself. *Whispers* Book 1 had too much "oops, I fell on your dick" but I'm told it gets better. I'm glad to know I'll have a buddy to share this Chapter 32 with, er that doesn't sound right...

TERRIBLE is amazing swoon worthy from left field. I'm tempted to re-read the series, just thinking about him... seriously :D

And the Dissilllusionsits...forgetaboutit. You're gonna love!

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on all these!
