This was suppose to be a book review…

…but, I was only able to make it halfway through Dreamfever.  And honestly, even if I had finished on time I’d probably end up doing what I’m about to do anyway.  So you’re probably scratching your head and saying to yourself, ‘Um okay so if there’s no book review there probably shouldn’t be a post’.  Au contraire, my friend!  That little snafu is not going to stop me from making my recommendation.  What?  Yes, I know I haven’t finished this book yet.  I’m also fully aware that there’s going to be a cliffhanger that will probably cause me to tear all my hair out and yell at my boyfriend.  I am also very much aware that at the beginning of this little journey I gave our main characters a rather lukewarm reception.  This little love fest may be extremely premature considering the series isn’t done yet BUT, I have faith damn it and despite these things here are the top 3 reasons why I’d recommend these books:

  • I’m lumping all these together to make it my top reason.  You’ve got amazing characters, great world building, action that has you wanting to kick over living furniture and suspense that will have you literally sitting at the edge of your seat.  I could simply stop there but, I won’t.
  • You get to watch a character overcome some pretty crazy shit to get to where she’s at.  You may not love her at first but, I’m pretty sure by the end of it you’ll be more than willing to shank a fool for her.  You also have a guy who makes you want to punch him in the face and bump some serious uglies with him all at the same time.
  • I know in my heart of hearts that Karen Marie Moning is going to deliver a book that is going to melt brains.  Maybe even disintegrate them.  And I say that knowing that I may not get the ending I want.

How am I so certain that these books will remain on my shelves for years and years to come?  I’m taking it on faith my friends.

If you’ve read this series what are some of the reasons you’d recommend it to family, friends, neighbors and strangers?  If you haven’t started this series, why the hell not?!?

  3. Jen D I absolutely can't wait to read your review on Dreamfever!

Reasons I would recommend the series? It has well written characters, unexpected twists and turns, cliff hangers to keep you interested, evil vilians, and so much romantic tention you could cut it with a knife!

This is a wonderful series and I like you wasn't sure at the beginning and came to really love it over the past few books. :-D
