The Plinky Question of the Day is a weekly feature I added to the blog to get to know you guys better and vice versa. Sometimes the questions will deal with books or reading but, most of the time they won’t. Because, let’s face it, there’s more to us than what we read.
What are the first things you notice about people you just met?
I thought this was a pretty interesting question so I thought I’d throw it out there. When I meet someone for the first time I usually notice the following 3 things and usually in the order I’m about to list them:
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul and I believe that to be true. You can perfect your poker face but, you’re eyes never lie.
I don’t care about whether they’re straight or how bright they are. What I’m more interested in is if that smile is genuine and given easily to strangers. It’s one of the easiest things you can do to spread a little positivity.
Are you big on please and thank you? Do you offer a helping hand to someone who’s in need? Willing to go out of your way even if it’s not convenient for you? If the answers are yes then I’m pleased to meet your acquaintance.
What about you guys? What are some of the first things you notice about people you’ve just meet?
