Plinky Question of the Day

plinkybanner

The Plinky Question of the Day is a weekly feature I added to the blog to get to know you guys better and vice versa. Sometimes the questions will deal with books or reading but, most of the time they won’t. Because, let’s face it, there’s more to us than what we read.

After some rearranging and a two week hiatus, the Plinky QOTD is back!  Without further ado, here’s today’s question:

What's the most enjoyable hour of your typical weekday?

It’s hands down, without a doubt, my lunch hour.  What?  You didn’t think I was going to stay the weekly staff meeting, right?

Lunch Group

I love my co-workers.  They’re a great group of women (and men but, they’re not allowed to sit with us at lunch) who are not only amazing to work with but, are awesome friends as well.  During our lunch hour we get together and unwind.  We catch up on how our weekend went, how the week is going and no conversation is off limits.  This leads to some hilarious and sometimes embarrassing moments.  I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.  It’s what gets me through the week.

How about you guys?  What’s your most enjoyable hour during a typical weekday?

  1. Man I'm so glad this was so easy for you to figure out. The best hour for me...on a typical weekday...hmm...part of me wants to say my lunch hour because I can catch up with my friend from NM, workout, read, etc...then another part of me wants to say the hour right before I go to bed because I get all cuddled up in my bed and read for about and hour then hit the sack. So I'm going with either of those. Yep, I'm cheating a bit.

  2. Hmm. This is tough. It'd probably be a toss up between:

    1. The hour drive to work. It's relaxing and gives me a chance to prepare for the day.

    2. The second hour with my students. By 10am, they've woken up a bit, and we can have a little fun.

    3. Whatever hour(s) I devote to book blogging, because the book blogging community never fails to make me smile.

  3. Hello ladies! One of my favorite parts about the QOTD is getting see the different ways people interpret the question. I associated weekday with a work day and you guys took the whole day into consideration. Very inneresting...

@D - You can cheat. It's totally okay. You know I'm not a stickler for rules anyway. ;-)

@Amanda - The drive in to work is a good one. And you're so right about the book blogging community. I was so concentrated on my 'work day' answer that I hadn't even considered that.

    Thanks for stopping by guys!

  4. It's a toss up for me. During the school year, it would be around 2pm. That is when the toddlers are napping for at least another hour and I can nap too. lol During the summer months, I have the school girls so I can't nap, but we do a fun activity then they watch a movie while I read. The other time I think would be between 9-10pm. That is typically when Jason is in the basement playing his video game, the kids are asleep and the chores of the day are done. It's my alone/wind down time. I'm usually blogging or reading then. It seems terrible to say that those are my fave times since they both involve me being alone, but it's true. I love my kids and my hubs, but a girl needs her alone time in the day or she'll crack. ;)
