Tune in Tuesday: Soundtrack Edition (The Wackness)

TuneInTuesday-soundtracked5

This weekly meme is hosted by Ginger at GReads and is meant to showcase another passion: music. Each week you can post an old or new song so that it gains more interest or is discovered by new ears. So let's help Ginger spread our love of music. Oh and don't forget to submit a link to your post over on Ginger’s site by clicking on the banner.

*Ginger decided to host another themed Tune in Tuesday during the month of OCTOBER.  And that theme will be: Favorite Soundtracks.  It can be from a movie, TV show, or musical.  It does not necessarily have to be the theme song for that particular program either.  As long as it was featured in the movie, TV show, or musical then it's fair game!  I can't wait to see what every one comes up with!*

I was ridiculously happy to see that there were other fans for the movie soundtrack I picked last week.  Seriously ya’ll.  If you haven’t seen Garden State then get on it STAT.  Another excellent movie that I heart to pieces is The Wackness.  If you’re a fan of 90s hip hop, coming of age stories and aren’t easily offended by people smoking pot in movies then you need to check this out sooner rather than later.  Without further ado, I bring you some of my favorite songs from The Wackness soundtrack.

  4. @Anne - All the Young Dudes is one of my faves off the soundtrack.

    @heavenisabookstore - lol! We did too. Some tourists have me and a group of my friends on one of their home videos singing this to the top of our lungs around a hotel pool.

    @Tee - You're very welcome!

    @Juju - Me too. I automatically start singing any time this song comes on the iPod or radio.

  6. @Ginger - *shrugs* It was a pretty small indie flick with hardly any promotion behind it. Hell, I can't remember how I came across it. If you get a chance to check it out though you totally should!

  11. This film looks great! I want to see it just for: "I've got mad love for you, shorty. I wanna, like, listen to Boyz 2 Men when I'm with you." lol! The music is amazing too. :)
