Plinky Question of the Day

nnir_banner_plink

The Plinky Question of the Day is a weekly feature I added to the blog to get to know you guys better and vice versa.  Sometimes the questions will deal with books or reading but, most of the time they won’t.  Because, let’s face it, there’s more to us than what we read.

Name a board game that you'll never get tired of.

I’m a huge proponent of game nights.  They bring friends and family together and fun times are always had.  Unless, people get hyper-competitive but, that’s a whole other issue.  Anywhoozle, if I had asked myself this question three months ago I would’ve said..

Cranium

Charades, Name That Tune, Pictionary, Multiple Choice and Word Games all mixed into one box?!  What’s not to love?!

Then a few us got together for a girls’ night/Christmas party/gift exchange shindig and Ash brought along…

Quelf

Everything Cranium is plus added randomness.

Sorry Cranium.  I think I’m in love with someone else.  Seriously guys, if you haven’t given this board game a try you are totally missing out on some serious fun.

What are some board games you guys never get tired of?

  1. I'm not a big game person, but I love playing Apples to Apples. Even if it's not technically a board game.

  2. @Amanda - *gasp* You're not?! You're lucky you don't live closer. I'd Game Night you into submission. ;-) Apples to Apples is super fun. That's another one Ash introduced me to.

  3. My family has played UNO for as long as I can remember. We now even own UNO Moo. My daughter loves to skunk me and make me draw two. I loved playing Spoons, but someone always ended up bleeding.

  4. Scrabble! We're Scrabble addicts in our casa.

  5. @Jen - I loooove UNO. We haven't played it in a while though. What's Spoons? And why does it sound dangerous?

@Juju - We're Scrabble fans too! It's one of those games that gets people worked up though so we play it sparingly. ;-)
