Plinky Question of the Day

nnir_banner_plink

The Plinky Question of the Day is a weekly feature I added to the blog to get to know you guys better and vice versa.  Sometimes the questions will deal with books or reading but, most of the time they won’t.  Because, let’s face it, there’s more to us than what we read.

Have you ever wanted to build your own house? What would it look like?

I don’t know anyone who would answer no to this question.  Although I don’t know exactly what my dream house would look like, there are definitely certain features it HAS TO HAVE.  Such as…

Don’t get me wrong.  Bathrooms, closets and kitchens are important too.  I find that the style of those rooms change a lot in my mind’s eye.  However, these three areas tend to stay the same.  So those are the three I decided to showcase.

But enough about me.  If you had the chance to build your house what would it look like?

  1. I love this question!
The answer is yes yes yes and for details I say, do you have an hour?

My list is a mile long. A screened front porch. A screened in pool. A finished attic office/library with built in shelves with pretty pink walls. A full finished basement with mini kitchen for guests. A man cave garage with AC for Mr. Whimsy.

You get my drift...I looove this question ;)

  2. I'm an architect so I can honestly say I have designed my dream home many times. Hopefully someday I'd be able to build it. I'd like my house to be sleek, modern, minimalist with clean lines and very open.
Here are some examples of "almost" my dream house.

  3. You don't hang out on Pintrest do ya? Love that site. I just want a huge book case. I would love to have a small cozy home, maybe log cabin.

  4. @Juju - LOL! I'm totally catching your drift. I love the man cave garage idea. I'll need to add that to the must haves.

@BookaholicCat - I didn't know that you were an architect! What a cool profession. I looove the examples you included. I also love that they're all on a beach. ;-)

@Jen - LOL! Who me?! Nooo way! ;-) I'm kind of fond of log cabins myself.
