Cinema Saturdays

A weekly feature where I'll post my favorite movie quotes, upcoming movie trailers, the occasional movie review or subject you to fangirling over some of my most treasured movies in the hopes that it'll get you guys to watch them.

Granted, they could've stopped at the first movie but, I've got a thing for watching Liam Neeson use his very particular set of skills.

  1. Hubby and I watched Taken and really enjoyed it. We watched Taken 2 and it was somewhat of a disappointment. But we will probably still watch Taken 3.

If you haven't seen Neeson's Non-stop, I highly recommend it. If you haven't seen his Grey, don't waste your time. The premise was much better than the movie, IMHO. It was slow and many scenes were shot in the dark, a pet peeve b/c you can't tell what's going on.

  2. Hi Mona! Thanks for stopping by. We were a bit disappointed with Taken 2 as well but I HAVE TO see that Porsche/airplane scene on a big screen. =)

Thanks for the recs. I'll see if the BF is interested in watching Non-stop tonight.

Are you a Liam Neeson in Love Actually fan?

  3. I may have seen Love Actually but I'm not sure. I've watched similar ensemble dramas. Guess I'll have to watch it again to refresh my memory.

If you did end up watching Non-stop, let me know what you thought.

Another one I enjoyed was Limitless starring Bradley Cooper.

  4. I think you won't be disappointed. =)

Didn't get a chance to watch Non-stop because the BF was binge watching American Horror Story. Hopefully this week though.

    Limitless...hmmm...sounds familiar. What's it about?

  5. I've heard a lot about American Horror Story and it's on my TBW list along with like TONS of others.

Here is the summary of Limitless from imdb :
With the help of a mysterious pill that enables the user to access 100 percent of his brain abilities, a struggling writer becomes a financial wizard, but it also puts him in a new world with lots of dangers.

    1. We watched the Season 4 (Freak Show) and Season 2 (Asylum). Both were really good. The actors on both seasons were top notch.

To be honest, you had me at Bradley Cooper. ;-) The summary sounds really interesting so I'll definitely be adding it to the TBW list.

  6. Yes, definitely do that. Both Non-stop and Limitless are worth watching.

Like my TBR list, my TBW list is out of control.

I am liking this meme and will definitely be checking in every week.

    1. Don't even get me started on the TBR list. The mere thought sends chills up my spine.

Super stoked that you like the meme. It means a lot that you take time out of your day to check out the blog so thank you, thank you, thank you!

  7. I've got like 3,700 books on my TBR list and keep adding more. I own boxes full and yet keep entering book giveaways for shiny new and new-to-me ones. Today was a bonanza winning-wise. I won 2 from Goodreads FirstReads and a box of books from the blog Kindles&Wine that I am super excited about. The giveaway had like 865 entries(1 entry per person) and 3 packages to be won. I won the package I wanted most.

Yes, the meme is great. I love books, movies, movies made from books, movies about books, books about books...:D and you're welcome.

Sorry for the late reply. My internet died this morning. But I did get some magazine reading done. That's another addiction -- magazines.

  8. No problem -- I have to force myself to disconnect from my iPad every morning so I can catch up on my reading piles. I get lots of free subscriptions from Hunt4Freebies.com and survey rewards. Besides that, I follow lots of blogs and subscribe to tons of newsletters.
